Hero Backstory:
Under the cover of "Operation Watch Tower." War Machine was the legion's second attempt to create a mechanical soldier (after the failure of chronos). Designed hand-in-hand by bombardier and engineer, and smithed by Blacksmith, War machine combines elements of all his fathers intentions. To smash, roll, and explode the hellbourne!

Visual Description:
War Machine is a hulking humanoid-shaped construct. Trouncing about like a gorilla, fitting to his large forearms which dangle close to his feet. Four large 'angled' pieces of steel are lain across his arms and the back of his legs, which are what war machine uses for melee attacks. Between his dark plated armor, many pistons and twisting gears can be discerned, similar to 'Chronos.' On his back is a hulking cannon which appears to be a retrofitted observatory top.


Operation Watch Tower Description: War Machine 'goes down on all fours' The angled pieces of steel form the corner pieces of a Clockwork tower, while the cannon on his back forms the top.

I Switched Accounts
-Lowered mana cost of afterburn, and removed the 1000 radial vision, added a cooldown, increased damage done upon landing
-Added the ability to gain charges from catapaults as well (credit to Alten)
-Changed channel time on ulti from 3/2/1 to 1.5/1/.5, Added ability to gain vision equal to attack range on ulti as well as buffed the range (credit to alten again)
-Tweaked other numbers

Role Notes:
War Machine has a fairly pliable build, but is best played as an initiator tank. Once he gets his 4th skill, he becomes a powerful tower pusher and long ranged support. His concussion shot, range, and afterburn abilities also give him great chase-down ability on fleeing heroes

Tooltip: using the large Cannon on his back, War machine takes a destructive shot at the target ground, dealing damage and leaving enemies concussed in the wake.

Upon activation AND upon the end of the duration of fly, causes 'Aftermath.'

Aftermath Effect: Causes 2/2.33/2.66/3X strength as physical damage in a 150 radius around self
Note:Upon Activation, Afterburn can be canceled after a 2 second pause.

Upon leveling 'Afterburn' Two large rockets appear on his shoulders.

Note: This ability is a passive with an activated ability, much like rampage's might of the herd.

Tool Tip: Because of War Machine's Rushed production, he is an incomplete model. Being near a destroyed tower allows him to gather the missing parts he needs.

Passive: Necessary Upgrades
Range: 1200 around self
Description: Whenever a siege weapon is destroyed within a 1200 radius of War Machine, Gain a charge, with a maximum of 5/10/15/20 Charges. Additionally, Whenever a tower is destroyed within a 1200 radius, gain 3 charges.
Charge: +1.5 Strength

"You weren't going to use it anyways!"

Activated Ability: Necessary Downgrades
Description: Upon activation lose a charge on 'Necessary Upgrades' to reduce the cooldown on other spells by 6 seconds

"It was a hunk of junk anyways!"

Additionally, for every two charges gained on 'Necessary Upgrades,' an additional detail appears, for a total of up to 4 details. (the details are merely cosmetic)
1: Large truck-like exhaust pipes protrude from his upper shoulders
2: Gains a flame decal on arms and legs
3: Gains Obnoxious UV lights across back and cannon
4: Gains a spoiler across back of shoulders

Tool Tip: The pinnacle and purpose of this machine culminates upon the battlefield as War Machine transforms into a Defense Artillery Machine.

Cool Down: 14/10/6 Seconds
Passive Effects:
-Reduces movement speed by 100%
-Increases range of attack by 650/800/950
-Causes 'Aftermath' to apply a 1/1.5/2 Second stun
-Increases Concussive Shot range by 100/150/200
-Grants Vision around self equal to attack rage

Synergy Note:
Casting Afterburn in this form causes the movement speed reduction to be 95/90/85/80% (depending on the level of Afterburn)
