Hero Backstory:
---

Bahamut, the Platinum Dragon made his way to a high mountain overlooking the striken Forests of Caldavar. The scene he saw before him was one of countless slaughter; the draconic under his command falling victim to the rising magical energy that is accumulating in Newerth. It was his duty to protect, and it wasn't a duty he planned to pass on to another. Joining the Legion, his motif is to single handedly hunt down every last Hellbourne soul and restore peace to Newerths draconic population; bringing an end to the magic infused war.
  • Define Your Heroes Base Attack
Base Attack Type
Melee
Base Attack Notes:
Range: 128
Attack Damage: 32-35 ( 53-56 with Attributes )
Attack Speed: 0.59
Visual:
Swipes one hand at the enemy with tremendous force, occasionally performing a viscous bite.
  • Hero Roles
Primary Role
Initiator
Secondary Role
Ganker
Role Notes:
Bahamut is a tanky initiator who specializes at initiation, but has poor cleanup abilities. His abilities are strong early game, however building tanky rather than amplifying damage should be a main concern throughout the game. Bahamuts ultimate is the key part of his kit, making him a valuable pickup on any team; as well as scaling well throughout the whole game regardless of how he is built.
  • Hero Abilities
Ability 1 Name
Aerial Tackle
Ability 1 Action Type
Target - Ground
Ability 1 Notes:
Throws a non-penetrating skillshot projectile in the target direction that travels for 600 range. If it collides with an enemy hero, it deals 40/80/120/160 non lethal magic damage initially and sends Bahamut flying towards the target at 522 movement speed, disjointing, becoming immune and ignoring all obstacles including terrain. If it hits anything other than a hero the target is dealt lethal damage, however Bahamut does not take flight. Kills illusions instantly on initial contact.

On impact with the target, deals 0.6/1/1.4/1.6 multiplied by their current percentage of health as magic damage.
---
Ability 2 Name
Ferocious Roar
Ability 2 Action Type
Self Position
Ability 2 Notes:
Sends out a ferocious roar, stunning enemy units within 180 units for 1 second and dealing 85/140/195/250 magic damage instantly. Enemy units that are within 300 range from Bahamut but are not stunned are pushed away quickly over 0.2 seconds until they are 375 units away from Bahamut and are dealt 65/105/145/185 magic damage over the duration of the push.
---
Ability 3 Name
Vorpal Armour
Ability 3 Action Type
Passive
Ability 3 Notes:
Passively mitigates up to 6/12/18/24 flat physical damage from all sources and returns 5/10/15/20 plus Bahamut's total armour as magic damage to attackers.
---
Ability 4 Name
Wing Snare
Ability 4 Action Type
Target - Enemy Units
Ability 4 Notes:
Snares an enemy hero within 140 units, lunging over them and covering them with your enormous wings; stunning them with superior magic. The sight of this sends one nearby enemy hero within 450 units into a relentless assault, forcing them to attack you for 2/2.5/3 second(s). 40/50/60% of the unmitigated damage that you take from all sources during the snare is also dealt to the snared unit. When the snare is over Bahamut deals 100/200/300 superior magic damage to all enemies within 300 units as he retracts his wings, except the one which was snared.

Staff of the Master causes up to two nearby enemy heroes to be taunted.

The comparisons to Dampeer are misguided, but they do point out something key about this hero. It's not unique. By that I mean, nothing quite makes it stand out among the current iteration of heroes. You have no mold-breaking ideas or creative investments within this hero. It seems vastly uninspired. Sure, its cool, but a good hero isn't just cool, it delves deeper and allows (and hopefully supports) the use interesting mechanisms that make your hero indispensable when paired with others, as well as having some potential on its own. I'm sorry to say I don't quite see that here.

@Pineapple One closes gaps and one has an AoE? That's about all they share in common, really.

His gap closer is a skillshot and single target, and his AoE moves units away from him (stunning those that are directly around him). Dampeer's AoE is a short range fear, and his gap closer hits targets along its path, and requires you target a unit.

the 2 first spells are way too similar to the 2 first spells of dampeer.. same synergy and same way to initiate.

I really like the visuals. All skills works well for his concept. He scales fairly well early to late game. Voted Up!
