Skeleton Imp is meant to be a support/tank/pusher. His role is to catch up to enemies by slowing or stunning them. His damage only comes from a single nuke that has varying damage depending on nearby allies making him unable to gank alone. His second role is scouting. Upon dying he will be able to scout large areas of the map, making him useful even in death. In team fights he will deliver area damage as well as area disable and also be able to protect squishy heroes with his Bone Leash from disables such as Torturer's ministun, Valkyrie's arrow and damage from abilities as Moraxus' axe throw. Proper positioning may also cause enemy players to click the bones rather than a hero. However, against a hero like Behemoth that deals more damage if there are more enemy units nearby, Skeleton Imp will be at disadvantage, unless Skeleton Imp pulls his Bone Leash back.

Skeleton Imp rattles his allies bones, causing them to explode after a short while, dealing intense area damage.All nearby friendly units will be Rattled, causing them to explode after 2 seconds dealing 25/50/75/100 magic damage to all enemy units within 600 units. After explosion, the affected units will have their movement speed reduced by 20% for 2 seconds. Rattled can also affect Bone Leash. Maximum of 12 affected units. Explosion occurs regardless of targets being alive after activation.

Skeleton Imp raises bones from the ground that swirls around him for a while.Gains a Bone Shield charge for every hostile attack or spell cast on him. Bone Shield charges start at 2/3/4/5 and can at maximum reach 6/9/12/15 charges.
After 2 seconds the bones will dive under the ground and instantly impale all enemies within 500 units, stunning for 0.25 seconds for every charge.

Skeleton Imp drops a leash of bones behind that grants him their vision. The bones form a line that follows Skeleton Imp's path. Each bone covers 100 units with a 50 unit wide vision, also blocks enemy pathing by 5 units (very little, but enough to make a difference). The Bone Leash is extended for each rank in the skill 2/4/6. Bones may be subject of skill shots such as Valkyrie's arrow, but can't die and will always follow Skeleton Imp regardless of disables. Skeleton Imp may toggle the Bone Leash on or off, as to prevent him from being chased.
The skill also adds a passive:
Upon dying, Skeleton Imp's body will crumble into a pile of bones that can move. All vision gained while dead will linger until Skeleton Imp ressurects.
